Why not write a quick and dirty program using grid and let him update
values. You can then update the file with much better control.

Also, remember that he can then begin to modify other things as well.  Like
things you don't want manipulated directly.

We don't allow ODBC write access to our systems, because of the data
inconsistancy issues.  If a customer wants to do this, we remove "ALL"
warranties that the software will work as advertised.

Yeah, they do have the read-write enabled.  The user wants to bulk edit
fixed costs in Access then send it back to my item master file.  I guess
I'll advise him to make sure he is the only person on the system when doing
this.
